Infrared Sauna

Deep, radiant heat that works from the inside out — supporting recovery, circulation and stress relief — finished with a private deluxe shower. Thirty minutes that your nervous system will thank you for.

Gentler on the outside. Working harder beneath the surface.

A traditional sauna heats the air around you — often to 80–100°C — and your body responds to the room. An infrared sauna works differently. Infrared light warms your body directly, at a much more comfortable ambient temperature, so the heat penetrates deeper into muscle and tissue while the experience stays calm and breathable.

The result: you get a genuine, productive sweat and the circulation response your recovery needs, without the gasping-for-air intensity that puts so many people off traditional saunas.

What a session can support

Recovery for the mind, not just the body

Recovery isn’t only physical. Many members use the sauna to unwind as much as to recover — the heat supports relaxation, deeper sleep and a calmer nervous system, so you leave lighter mentally as well as physically.

Your 30 minutes, start to finish

Arrive, settle in, and let the session unfold at your own pace. You set the temperature to whatever suits you, and the heat builds gradually rather than hitting you at the door: no adjustment period, just warmth at the level you enjoy. The sauna pairs with your phone over Bluetooth in seconds, so if you want to fill the time with a playlist, podcast or something to watch, you can. Or switch it off entirely and do nothing at all — some of our members say that’s the best part.

When your time is up, your private deluxe shower is ready — towels and amenities provided. You leave warm, clear-headed and genuinely done, not rushing home to rinse off.

Who it’s for — and who should check first

Infrared heat is one of the most accessible recovery tools in the studio: no exertion, no impact, no experience needed. If you’re pregnant, or managing a cardiovascular condition or heat-sensitive medication, check with your doctor before booking — and mention it to our team, who will always err on the side of care.

Infrared sauna pairs beautifully with the LED Bed — heat first, light second is a member-favourite recovery stack.
Good to know

Infrared sauna, answered

Where can I find an infrared sauna in Brisbane?
Right here in Chermside — inside Chermside Health Hub, Level 1, 621 Gympie Rd — a private infrared sauna serving Brisbane’s northside, including Aspley, Lutwyche, Stafford and the surrounding suburbs. Every session is fully private: your own cabin, your own deluxe shower suite, your own time. Easy parking, and just a short drive from across Brisbane North.
How is an infrared sauna different from a traditional sauna?
A traditional sauna heats the air; an infrared sauna uses light to warm your body directly at a lower, more comfortable ambient temperature. You still get a deep, productive sweat — the heat just reaches further into muscle and tissue without the harsh, heavy air. Most people who find traditional saunas overwhelming find infrared genuinely enjoyable.
Is this the same as a far infrared (FIR) sauna?
Yes — far infrared is the wavelength range most infrared saunas use, and it’s what delivers that deep, penetrating warmth. If you’ve seen “FIR sauna” or “infrared heat therapy” elsewhere, this is the same family of treatment.
What do I wear, and what should I bring?
Whatever you’re comfortable in — most members wear swimwear or light clothing. Towels and shower amenities are provided, and your session ends with a private deluxe shower, so you can come from work or training and leave fresh. Just bring a water bottle; hydrating before and after makes a real difference.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. The sauna suite is fully private, and a second person is welcome to join your session for just A$10 more. Let our team know when you book or when you arrive, and we’ll set the suite up for two.
Can I control the temperature?
Completely. It’s your private suite, so you choose the temperature that suits you and adjust it any time during the session. And the sauna pairs with your phone over Bluetooth in seconds, so your playlist or podcast comes with you.
How often should I use the infrared sauna?
There’s no single right answer — it depends what your body is recovering from. Many members settle into two to four sessions a week as part of a recovery routine, which is where a membership becomes better value than casual visits. Our team will help you find the rhythm that fits at your first session.
Is infrared sauna safe for everyone?
For most people, yes — it’s heat, not exertion, and you’re in control the whole time. If you’re pregnant, have a cardiovascular condition, or take medication that affects heat tolerance, speak with your doctor first and let our team know when you book. We’ll always take the careful path.
